looks. at her. she is kind of concerned. why are you a baby. ]
What? Oh - no. This was some guy that made it big in Piltover, but - chances of it being the same guy? Probably pretty low. [ it isn't ] Do they have one with your name?
[ it's easy to find kate on a day like this; the little smoke plume coming from her head can be seen from across the building.
she's at the flight deck early in the day, watching the plane take off while smoke rises from her head. or, if vi's not quite that early, she'll probably linger for some time, looking out into the distance. ]
[ after execution, kate is headed towards the relaxation area. as always, it can be hard to tell what she's feeling, but she does turn her head to look at vi. ]
It's really good to be back. Kind of weird, actually. [ she says, with a little smile. ] Oh - right, I've got presents.
[ hands her strohl jr, first. he snuggles her, if she takes him. and then she'll go through her bag to find a little tupperware type thing full of blini and syrup tins. plus a letter. ]
no she's here! kate will hear a soft song, beautiful and incomprehensible, low and background in vi's thoughts every so often...
she's healing but her wounds are as follows: a large, deep claw mark from her shoulder down to her hip - if it was any deeper it might have done spinal damage. severely burned, across her face and under her clothes, and it looks like whatever explosion happened made her wounds fuse halfway shut, so that's... good? her right leg is completely shattered, she cannot use it at all right now. and she has... bites? like, not teeth bites. it looks more like a lot of very big spider bites. she's not stabbed anywhere thankfully. mostly it just looks like something or many somethings were trying to tear her apart.
vi is awake, curled up with a thin blanket that she pulls closer to hide the worst of it when kate wanders in. a beat, and then: ]
