Magic's very different most everywhere, I think. Same with technology? We don't have much of that at all where I'm from. Not all the, um, computer stuff anyway. Or vehicles.
[Scoffs, though a bit fondly.]
That wouldn't have been my first guess, but you know what? He does strike me as the type to beg for a smoke.

Or just vent about how strange all this is. I mean, my first time out in places like these, I didn't understand how anything worked! It was completely the opposite of everything I knew. So I get it! Culture shock, world-hopping style.
If I've got questions I'll come straight to you. [ a touch softer. ] The different people, the way they all look or act - that doesn't surprise me so much. We've got so many types at the bottom that nobody here isn't something I've already seen.
It's just how resigned everybody has been so far that's throwing me.
I suppose that isn't a very good impression to make. It just...it did wear on you greatly. Things moved very quickly, but it was also very easy to grow close to people. [ she only had two weeks, but her life is full of this sort of thing. it's not new, to think about friends dying and killing each other and then dying yourself. ]

[Rosamund wipes away the last of the solution and gather's Vis hands into her own, tapping one impertinently with her thumb.] I don't have the proper bandages for these on me, so you'll go grab some from the first aid station, won't you?
