And why not? Are we too out of this world?
[heh heh.
But she'll slow to a stop, one hand on her hip and tilting her head to meet Vi's eyes.]
And you are — hold on a moment, it starts with a V. Correct? I don't have these things memorized, but I did stop to admire your hair. It's such a lovely shade of pink, just like a bouquet of carnations.

[Rosamund scoffs, making a pish-posh sort of hand flop to bat the compliment away.]
Oh, hardly. I'm just being honest.
[She sweeps into a seat next to her and scoops her hair back over her shoulders, peering at Vi's phone as if she doesn't damn well have one of her own.]
Are you finding anything interesting? I suppose snooping's the best entertainment we'll have until our captors are kind enough to introduce themselves. Or open a few more doors.

Robots again? [She considers this.] There were a few where I was trapped last time, but none that were in charge of anything. Those were just people in big metal suits. The robots were more like little attendants with cat faces. Sort of. One of them was used to defend someone against being murdered.
[...]
But it does sound like we went to very different places with strangely similar purposes. It looks to be the same number of people here again this time, it's very difficult not to assume the worst.
[looking over the screen at Ryo Asuka's profile.]
...World destruction. Interesting.

Really? [HOW ABOUT THAT.] Cats must be terribly important to people who make robots. Not that I could blame them. One of my best friends is a cat.
[Honestly tempted to play PIB someday why is neverafter laser-targeted at me.]
No kidding. "Hell." But...those seem to indicate the places we were sent to, not the places we actually come from. I could never make it to space the same way I did on my last..."kidnapping."
What about you, Vi? Why don't you tell me about the real place you're from?

[all furry game coming to a dreamwidth near you.
Rosamund's cheer seeps out. Not for any sort of glumness, but a knowing, serious glance. She shakes her head slightly, giving pause after Vi speaks.]
It's all right. I understand. Not everywhere's going to be a paradise. Most places aren't, actually. And sometimes the cost of having one is...making a lot of misery for someone else.
[Sounds like these Pilties benefit a little too much off the backs of other people. Her eyes flick away.]
...If it helps at all, my kingdom used to be covered in thorns for a hundred years. Everyone was either cursed asleep, or dead. And anyone who came in to fix it died in the thorns. [She sighs.] It wasn't much better anywhere else. Lots of war, misery. Things gone wrong. Very, very wrong.

[Rosamund nods.]
Oh yes. There was a great deal of struggle involved, and a lot of...well. Pain. Loss. The sort of things you expect to happen, when you're fighting an impossible battle.
But it came out all right in the end. People are better off now. For now. I hope it can stay that way.

Would I? How so?
[girl she just met you]
That doesn't mean it's nothing. [aaaah. Very gently examines.] Well, these scrapes won't do. Hold still.
[Pulling some (admittedly pilfered) disinfectant from her pocket and dabbing it on with a fresh kleenex, courtesy of the souvenir shop.]
If it wasn't for this stupid place I could just send you a off with a Healing Word, but no harm in doing it the old fashioned way.

Yours, or theirs?
[Her eyes flick up, catching that shift in posture.]
Hey, it's all right. Relax. I'll only be a moment. [Rosamund smiles softly.] Healing Word is a spell. It can fix you a up a little. Not spectacularly, but enough to take care of small things, or give you a second wind in a pinch. It's saved me more than once.

Then you'd have to direct me to the other guy next time. Who was it, by the way? Did someone egg you on? What were you doing?
[Stop withholding.
anyway she will be polite and not press further about her skittishness, at least she's not yanking herself away. That would be really annoying.]
No, nothing like that. I know some spells? My friend Timothy is a proper witch though, and my other friend Pinocchio can work great magic too. Mine is mostly little things to sort of help along. Especially with nature. I spent a great deal of time in the woods before.
